Oh for the Love of Chai

This recipe is used with a Keurig Coffee Maker.
What you'll need:
Chai Latte K cup and 1/4 cup of milk

Few things compare to a hot cup of coffee on a cold, Fall day.

During the holiday season, a festive coffee is a must! A good old classic is a chai latte. This may sound cliché, but it is literally holiday in a cup and it is very easy to recreate at home. All you have to do is brew a medium sized cup of the chai latte K cup and then microwave 1/4 cup of 1% milk for one minute. But be careful, it may spill over in the last 15 seconds, so keep an eye on it! Then all that is left to do is to blend the milk and coffee together and this will create the foamy layer we all love on top.

So get out your favorite holiday mug and enjoy our delicious morning must have!

Till next time!

Best Beauty Buys | October

Bonjour Everyone!

Today we wanted to share with you guys our "best beauty buys" for the month of October! Fall has officially arrived and it is out with the light and in with the dark!
Blush: Fever (left) & Breath of Plum (right) - Mac |
Lipstick: Va Va Violet (left) -Revlon |
Myth (center) - Mac | Cocoa Bronze (right) - Revlon

These are our first Fall purchases of the season! We fell absolutely in LOVE with these dark toned blushes, but be careful! If applied to "heavy," you may end up looking like a clown. Remember guys, it is not Halloween anymore! :) Now, you can't have dark blush with out dark lipstick! However, if dark lips are not your thing, Myth from Mac is the perfect color! It is a neutral tone that greatly complements a dark "fall" eye!
Nars Tinted Moisturizer (Light0) - Sephora | Sephora Professional Mineral Powder Brush |
Liquid Eyeliner (Black Brown) - Revlon

Fall/Winter weather can have serious drying effects on your skin, and no one wants that! The Nars tinted moisturizer is perfect for the colder weather because it is a moisturizer, and if that weren't enough, this product can actually take the place of both your morning moisturizer and foundation routine, talk about a time saver! Just remember, a little goes a long way. The mineral powder brush from Sephora is really good for applying liquid face products. We use it every time we are "putting on our faces" haha. Liquid eye liners have been a part of our makeup for a long time, but this specific purchase (Revlon's colorstay - black brown) is not like the others! The difference is in the applicator brush. Standard liquid liner brushes hold no structure making it a bit more difficult to apply a perfect line, but Revlon's brush is firm and much easier to maneuver! If you are looking to make the perfect wing, we highly recommend this product.
Mascara: Bad Gal Lash (left) - Benefit | They're Real (right) - Benefit

Mascaras are a must in our makeup routine! No eye is complete without an amazing mascara, which is why we want to share with you guys, two of our favorite mascaras purchased this month! Bad Gal Lash has a thicker applicator brush which really helps to elongate your lashes giving you that "faux fake lash" look! Now who wouldn't want that?! If we had to describe the they're Real mascara, we would only need two words - Clump Eliminator! You heard right, this mascara helps to elongate your lashes while nixing those unwanted clumps. Sorry guys if this sounds like an infomercial haha!
Wicked - Essie (left) | Easy Going - Sinful Colors (center) | Forever Yummy - Essie (right)

No beauty look is complete without painted nails! So these are our favorite nail purchases that are perfect for Fall. Yes, this season is often associated with darker tones, but reds and neutrals are still acceptable! Never place a limit on beauty!

We would love to hear about your best beauty buys of October, so let us know in the comments below! :)

Till next time!

Vintage Meets Class

Bonjour fellow fashion lovers!

Today we are going to show you how these beloved vintage jeans met the classy vibe of today's fashion!
We styled these outfits the way we would wear them if we were walking through the streets of New York City. The vintage, destroyed high-waisted jeans from the '70s are making a comeback that no one can deny! You have to wonder, who brought this vintage denim back in style? Actually, why question it! Whoever brought them back, all we have to say to you is "Thank you!"

Black Blazer - JC Penney | Black "tank" Crop Top - Brandy Melville | High-Waisted Jean - Know Style | Black Faux Leather Wooden Heel Boots - Charlotte Rousse | Black Harper Bag - Francesca's | Gold Chain Necklace - Forever 21

We all know that blazers equal class! You could say I (Heather) have an obsession with blazers and with one step in to my closet, you'd see that first hand! Aside from blazers, my second obsession would have to be "all black" ensembles. So it should be no surprise that I incorporated two of my favorite infatuations in today's "vintage meets class" inspired look. The vintage '70s high-waisted jean pairs so well with today's sleek, black-on-black style. To add a pop of chicness I finished the outfit off with a modest, yet bold gold chain.

Footwear can make or break an outfit, so I chose the ever popular wooden heel boot in black. These shoes are stylish and chic and add a bit of an edge. They are the perfect piece to bring my contrasting vintage and class together into one rocking outfit. Not to mention how easy they are to walk in! :)

Now let's see what Ashley decided to wear!
Blouse - Express | High-Waisted Jean - Know Style | Tan Harper Bag - Francesca's | Two Toned Chunky Heel - Local Boutique | Gold watch - Francesca's

Achieving a classy look does not always have to be difficult. Sometimes less is more! To create this look, all you need is a stylish, dressy blouse! That is why I decided to pair my vintage, light wash, destroyed high-waisted jeans with this simple, chic button down from Express. We all know an outfit is not complete without a few accessories, but with this outfit all you need is one! So what is sophisticated, classy, and often seen on the streets of New York City? If you guessed oversized hand bags, you guessed right! That is why this tan, over sized Harper bag is the perfect addition to this outfit. It is both stylish and affordable!

When it comes to shoes, these two-toned chunky heels are the way to go! The colors matched perfectly with my neutral and black colored blouse, and contrary to the height of the heel, they are actually quite comfortable and easy to walk in.

Well there you have it fashion lovers! Pull out your vintage pieces and take it to the streets of class!

Till next time!
